Introduction
Open Research Tunisia v0.1 is an initiative that aims to connect Tunisian graduate students with undergraduate Tunisian students interested in conducting CS research. Each entry below is a short proposal. If one interests you, reach out.
Projects
-
Phase-Conditioned Sparsity for Automated Program Repair — Do an LLM’s neuron activations specialize by the phase of automated program repair (localization, reproduction, patching, testing), and can that structure be exploited to make repair agents cheaper?
-
Exploring Venues in the Topic of Latent Communication Between Language Models — Can two language models coordinate by exchanging their internal state directly instead of collapsing their thinking into text? If so, what are the implications, and how can such communication be extended over different modalities (e.g. image-text, text-image).
-
Relational AutoML in the Era of Agentic AI — Most real-world data lives in relational databases, yet ML still demands a single flat table. Can relational machine learning let us learn in place without flattening or moving the data, and what formalism and infrastructure (e.g. database clones) would let an agent reason about schema exploration, feature enrichment, and model search together?
